Tarang, led by tabla masater Abhijit Banerjee, combines exciting Indian percussion (tabla, ghatam, kanjira) with mandolin by Snehasish Majumdar, one of the only Hindustani musicians to adapt mandolin to the ragas of North India. Their concerts weave a rich tapestry of improvised rhythm and intricate composition.
